Kirill Filippov

General Director SPB TV AG and SwissMed Mobile AG

Kirill Filippov was born on January 22, 1965, in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).

In 1987, he graduated from the Department of Mechanics and Mathematics at A.A. Zhdanov Leningrad State University (LSU). In 1991-93, he studied in a post-graduate program at LSU. In 1993, Filippov took a business management course at the University of Wales (UK) and a corporate governance course at the University of London. He went on to take a training course at the International Institute of Banking (St. Petersburg) in 1994-95. In 1996-98, Filippov was a student at the School of Law at St. Petersburg State University.

In 1987-91, Filippov worked as an engineer in the LSU Department of Mechanics and Mathematics. He held the positions of programmer, chief accountant, financial director, and general director at the Rus insurance society in 1991-98. In 1993, Filippov worked at the economy and finance department of the Eagle Star Insurance company (UK) under a British Council exchange program. In 1998-2000, he  served as deputy head of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and in 2000-02, as deputy general director of Lenenergo - director of the Energosbyt electricity distribution company. In 2002, Filippov became deputy minister of the Russian Federation for the press, TV and radio broadcasting, and mass media, a post he held for 4 years. In 2005, he joined the board at the Hydro-OGK hydroelectricity company. Filippov was the financial director at ANO TV-Novosti (Russia Today TV company) in 2006-08 and the general director of MobiWorld Media Inc in 2008-12. Since 2011, he has been the general director of Petersoftware Ltd. and Petersoftwarehouse Ltd. (Skolkovo residents) and since 2012, the general director of SPB TV AG and SwissMed Mobile AG.

Filippov is a founder of SPB TV AG (Switzerland), a leading private mobile television company, and SwissMed Mobile AG (Switzerland), a private mobile telemedicine company.
