A member of the Russian Civic Chamber, and Deputy Head of the Committee of Public Support for Residents of Southeastern Ukraine under the Federation Council.
From 2011, she headed up the Institute for Foreign Policy Research and Initiatives. The institute is engaged in research and awareness raising related to Russia's domestic and foreign policy.
In the 2000s, Krasheninnikova worked in the US as Head of the Council for Trade and Economic Cooperation (USA-CIS) in New York City; as the St. Petersburg representative to the US, during which she gained experience working under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA); and as a representative of the Russian World Foundation to the US.
In the late 1990s, she consulted on international projects in Moscow for European companies. In 1996-1997, she worked at the UN headquarters in Geneva.
Studied engineering and economics at the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute, the French language and civilization at the Sorbonne, and finance and economics at the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
